If you are Instagram, and lets be honest – who isn’t?! You would have undoubtedly seen a smoothie bowl, and as the name suggests it is a bowl full of smoothie! The main difference is that its a little thicker and you have the space to decorate it really pretty with all sorts of fruits, berries, nuts and whatever else you want to top it with.
I am a massive fan of a smoothie, so thought I would give a smoothie bowl a go. My version included:
- 1 Banana
- 1 handful of berries (I think I used blueberries and raspberries)
- 1 tsp of acai powder
- Splash of coconut milk
- Half a tin of peaches
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein
I topped mine with chia seeds, peach slices and some blueberries, again this is when you can really let loose with your creativity.
Whatever you add to your smoothie mix, just remember to make it a little thicker so you can eat it with a spoon.
