I love creating recipes that make not so healthy food just that little bit better for you. This jam recipe is just that.
Now don’t get me wrong, jam isn’t the worst thing in the world for you as long as you don’t eat it by the jar full but there is a lot of sugar and preservatives in most shop bought jams.
This recipe only needs 4 ingredients and allows you to control the extra sugar you add so if you like it very sweet you can control that! The recipe is also so simple and takes a few minutes to make and roughly an hour to set and make it jam like!
- 2 Cups of Strawberries
- 2 Tbsp Chia Seeds
- 2 Tbsp Honey or Sweetener of your choice
- 2 Tbsp Water
- Add all the ingredients into a blender
- Blend until consistency you are happy with
- Leave to chill and set in the fridge for an hour
