I got an email the other day at work to say that Nuffield health were coming into the office and were offering mini health checks for people wanted them.
I know I am healthy but I have never been told what my body fat percentage was or cholesterol levels or blood glucose, so I thought ‘Why not?’
The test was a simple one, they took my height, weight and from that worked out my BMI, they calculated my body fat percentage, my BMR, blood pressure, total cholesterol and blood glucose. Then with all of these metrics they selected if the numbers were good, bad or terrible.
All of my results were in the green zones, which I was really happy with. My body fat percentage is currently at 17.1% which I was a little disappointed with, but thinking about it I haven’t been training for quite some time and have been very lazy so it shouldn’t have been a surprise really. However, after talking to a few people at work I have realised that 17% is actually really good.
So all in all I am very happy with the results. I think I would like to see if I could reduce my body fat, but not my too much and just to see if I could change it. The lovely people at Nuffield said they would be coming back to do another test sometime in the future, so will be good to compare results.
