In my last post I mentioned that I have cut down on my caffeine intake and I wanted to explain why and what the benefits are!
To be honest, I only drink tea and the occasional fizzy drink so I’m not a massive caffeine drinker anyway! But I do have quite a few cuppas in a day or I did!
So I have ditched the normal tea bags and swapped them for decaf ones and I am trying to reduce the amount of Pepsi max I drink!
There are a few reasons behind this, the first is I don’t want to be dependent on caffeine – it has become so routine for me to get up in the morning and have a cup of tea, but if for some reason I don’t have it I end up with a headache before bedtime!
The second reason is I would like to have another baby at some point and you are advised to steer clear of caffeine while pregnant so I thought it would be a good idea to get ready for that when it happens!
I did have to struggle through 2-3 days of headaches while my body got used to the decaf tea, but I am there now and feeling pleased with myself!
