My Yoga Challenge

I love yoga – I may not be very good at it and I may not be very flexible but that doesn’t take away from how much I enjoy and how much I get from it.

I love looking at yogis on Instagram, to see how flexible they are and how strong they are. I enjoy how easy it appears for them to move their bodies and create these wonderful shapes and poses. They all completely inspire me to become a better yogi.

When I was younger are used to be a gymnast and used to be so flexible I could touch my toes forwards backward sideways you name it I could do it. I could even do the splits!

So this year I have challenging myself to take part and complete a yoga session every day if it is not possible then as often as I possibly can. With the main focus of being able to do the splits by the end of the year.

No not this may not sound like a massive challenge to some people, but currently, I actually struggle to touch my toes!!

For Christmas, I got a few yoga props that it will help me achieve my targets of the splits. I got to Yoga blocks, yoga wheel, and strap.

I know I set out last year to have to do the splits by the end of the year but this year I am so determined to do it. I’m going to take progress pictures every month to show my progress and to see whether I’m actually achieving anything or not. I think the photos will really help me to see whether I have improved or not and if I have improved I think it will give me encouragement to continue training and to be able to achieve my goal.

This year is going well so far as I have completed Cat Meffans’ Yoganuary flows every day!
